Recently, there has been a tremendous increase in the using of Che Guevara images on many things for instance, T-shirts, Mugs and used the name on coffee shops. However, who is Che-Guevara? And why he grabbed the attention of most people, especially youth.
“I am not a liberator. Liberators do not exist, the people liberate themselves” by his words, and actions Ernesto iRafael Guevara de la serna became an icon of Revolution and Liberation. Ernesto Guevara, who was later given “Che” as a nickname while he was studying ,and it means “friend” in south America, not only became a myth in his own life time ,and an international martyr-figure upon his death, but also he was a revolutionary fighter, a military strategist, a social philosopher ,an economist and a doctor.
Raised into a Middle-class family of Spanish and Irish descent, Che was born on My 14, 1928 in a city called Rosario in Argentina; he was the eldest of five children. His early diagnosed with chronic asthma was behind his decision to study medicine to find a cure for his own asthma condition. Guevara’s life has changed after the journey he made with his friend Alberto Cranado on his 1939 Norton 500 CC motorcycle, around South America. He witnessed the poverty, oppression and powerlessness of the people, and a revolution from his perspective was the only solution for Latin America’s economic and social inequities
After his graduation from the university of Buenos Aires medical school in 1953, Che moved to Guatemala where its president Jacobo Arbenz headed a populist government that through various reforms to bring about a social revolution. However, in 1954 the CIA overthrows the Arbenz government. At this point Che viewed the United States as an imperialist power, and he became more convinced that socialism was the only solution. He wrote in a letter to home:” Along the way, I had the opportunity to pass through the dominions of the united fruit, convincing me once again of just how terrible these capitalist octopuses are. I have sworn before a picture of the old and mourned comrade Stalin that I won’t rest until I see these capitalist octopuses annihilated”
Guevara met Fidel Castro in Mexico City who was exiled from Cuba; Castro was preparing an expeditionary force to overthrow Cuba’s president Fulgencio Batista. In 1956 they loaded 38-feet long motor yacht cranma full of guerrillas and weapons, and sailed to Cuba, landing near Cabo Cruz on December 2. However, it failed and the remaining rebels fled to into the mountains of the sierra Maestra, where they slowly grew in strength, seizing weapons and wining support from peasants in rural areas and intellectuals and workers in urban areas.
After their success in entering the capital of Havana, Che was declared a Cuban citizen by birth, and divorced his Peruvian wife, Hilda Cadea, with whom he had one daughter and married Aleida March which was a member of Castro’s Army. From 1961 to 1965 Guevara was minister or industries and director of the national bank, however he was interested more in testing his revolutionary theories, and as a result he resigned from his post as a politician and wrote a book about Guerrilla Warfare.
In 1966 Che led a Guerrilla war in Bolivia, and he had stressed that the Guerrilla fighter needs full help and support from the people of the area. However, luck was not by his side and he was surrounded near Vallegrande by American-trained Bolivian troops. Che was a brave man he once said” The decisive moment in a man’s life is when he decides to confront death. If he confronts it, he will be a hero whether he succeeds or not. He can be a good or bad politican, but if he does not confront death he will never be more than a politician”.
He was captures and was shot in a school house in La Higuera on October9, 1967.His last words were” Shoot, coward you are only going to kill a man.”
We’ve all suspected and assumed this, in different variations. This blog post very eloquently and academically puts the pieces together. Its long but well worth the read (some of the comments are also interesting).
It refers to Israel’s real motives and intentions behind what happened.. and being one step closer to achieving the Grand Zionist scheme and controlling the Furat (Euphrates).

Right then, lets see…… Lebanese refugees….hmmm, in Syria…..haven’t seen that for a while….well, at least not since the civil war that we helped stop……and they’re ungrateful and whining after they get back home……oh bollocks, what have we done to upset them this time?
Apparently, it wasn’t enough that we set them up at our homes and schools, provided them with food, clothing, shelter even toys, raised funds for them, and devoted the entire red cross and red crescent volunteers to tend to their every need, and suffered and are still suffering from hours of blackouts because were giving away electricity to Lebanon.
Some people I know, even quit their work, traveled to Damascus to rent as many apartments as they could find, then went to the border to pick up any stranded families and take them to those apartments.
When the ceasefire came into effect last week, most Lebanese refugees went home….and then promptly started the verbal abuse and slander against Syria and Syrians. Saying things like “Syria is full of donkeys”, or “Syria is filthy and uncivilized”. Well that’s all just very super, it’s like having a guest leave your house, then as soon as he gets out, he pisses all over your porch and sets fire to your dog. Thank you Lebanon for all the P!
But to be fair, the majority of Lebanese, especially those hardest hit in the south, and who also happen to be the poorest and most downtrodden, actually appreciate Syria and all it’s done for them throughout the years. Those people, unfortunately, are the most marginalized, and least heard in Lebanese society. All we hear are the disgusting rantings of the absurdly “in bed with Israel” cedar-future cowards. That bumbling imbecile Hariri, who barley knows how to speak Arabic, let alone form a coherent sentence, or that old git Junblat who looks like he just escaped from a lunatic asylum.
We here in Syria still support, and will always support the free peoples of Lebanon, and the freedom fighters of Hezbollah…..those who have not sold their dignity, honor, ideals and beliefs for scraps, and bonds of servitude to their American and Israeli masters.
So whats all this about Israeli soldiers having a cup of tea at a Lebanese army barracks at the height of the war? While the bombs were dropping on top of children, the lebanese army was having a social get together and quiet chit chat with the enemy?
And when the Lebanese soldiers evacuated the base, the Israelis just went ahead and bombed them!!!! Bloody hell, that’s what I call a classic case of “serves you right”…
Aren’t we Arabs just soooooooooo proud of our armies…..
watch the story HERE
With the death toll of Lebanese reaching over 900, More than 3,000 have been wounded and 1million - or a quarter of the total population - has been displaced. A third of the casualties in the conflict are children under 12……..
With that cheerful news in mind, lets take a look at what Human Rights Watch has to say about all this:
“Since the start of the conflict, Israeli forces have consistently launched artillery and air attacks with limited or dubious military gain but excessive civilian cost. In dozens of attacks, Israeli forces struck an area with no apparent military target. In some cases, the timing and intensity of the attack, the absence of a military target, as well as return strikes on rescuers, suggest that Israeli forces deliberately targeted civilians.”
And…
“By consistently failing to distinguish between combatants and civilians, Israel has violated one of the most fundamental tenets of the laws of war: the duty to carry out attacks on only military targets. The pattern of attacks during the Israeli offensive in Lebanon suggests that the failures cannot be explained or dismissed as mere accidents; the extent of the pattern and the seriousness of the consequences indicate the commission of war crimes.”
hmmm, so what about certain documented cases:
Now let’s see….a draft resolution reached after days of painstaking negotiations and a painful compromise….between France and the U.S…..?
One might be excused for thinking that maybe, finally, after more than 3 weeks of slaughter and carnage, some nations had the decency to call a stop to it all….but no wait, we’re talking about Muslims and Arabs here aren’t we? No prizes for guessing who this latest batch of rectal spew from the leaders of the free(hah) world will favor….
Let’s grab a magnifying apparatus and take a shufti shall we?
Let’s see now…hit ctrl+F and search for “ceasefire”….no, no luck there…maybe they misspelled it, let’s try “ceacefire” nope…..ok, just “cease”….no, nothing there…..ah wait a minute, I’ve found “full cessation of hostilities”…so what does that mean? Isn’t that just another way of saying ceasefire? Were all people at the U.N originally lawyers for big corporations before they found more lucrative work? …
And reading on, “the immediate cessation by Hezbollah of all attacks and the immediate cessation by Israel of all offensive military actions”….yes, I see where this is heading…..Hezbollah’s got to stop all its attacks….and Israel its “offensive” military actions…..correct me if I’m wrong, and I’m being a tad cynical here, but doesn’t that mean that Hezbollah has to stop everything, and Israel can pretty much keep on attacking whatever it wants, and then just say “its was Defensive, Defensive! not Offensive…duh”…..oh but surly a nice little friendly genocidal state like Israel would do that? Would it?
“A BBC correspondent at the UN says the wording would allow Israel some freedom if it argues it needs to defend itself.”…..hmmm…it WOULD!
No matter how hard I searched, or how often I used the F3, ctrl-F, F.U, or F.Off functions on my P.C, I couldn’t find anything remotely resembling a call for Israel to withdraw it’s troops out of Lebanon…..
So, let’s strip this U.N resolution of ambiguous slimy lawyer talk, and put it into layman’s terms shall we:
“Hizbollah has to stop all military action, including firing rockets into Israel, and defending southern Lebanon against the Israeli army’s invasion…..Israel can keep on attacking whatever it wants, as long as they say it was “defensive”…..Israel can keep its troops in the south of Lebanon as long as it wishes….
Seems to me, Israel couldn’t have done a better job if it had drafted this resolution all by itself….
Thus it is written, thus the Zion-U.S-U.N council has spoken, and from it’s vile monstrous pit, vomited forth poisons and calamities upon the innocent and weak of the world…..only fools and those dark of heart may fail to weep at this sordid and sorry state of affairs….

Israeli War crimes and Massacres

Of course, when it comes to the murder of civilians, women, children, reporters, peace activists, even U.N soldiers, Israel has an unbeatable track record…..It’s the undisputed heavy weight champion of slaughter. Funny how they always seem to make these “mistakes” over and over again, isn’t it?
Question: What constitutes a war crime? What constitutes a massacre? What constitutes a violation of human rights and international law?
The Answer: If you’re an Arab or a Muslim, none of the Above. You may be brutally slaughtered right before the eyes of the world, you may be kidnapped, imprisoned and tortured, in plain sight, and no one will so much as even condemn those acts.
From Afghanistan to Iraq, Guantanamo to Abughreb, Palestine and now Lebanon, the massacres continue…..while an uncaring world turns a blind eye, the illusion of modern civilization and human values disintegrates around them, no longer is this thin cape capable of covering the naked truth…..the global community is just a tribe of barbarians…..
