I have to say, I’ve never heard of this Mahir geezer. But is he perhaps that stupid or is it also an act. Sacha on the other hand is what one can call in Aleppean slang as “ibn 7aram sarf”. the things he comes up with, the things he does in public, the straight face he manages to pull and maintain, and the stuff he gets away with.. its gob-smacking.
I have had to resolve , after long and hard contemplation, that this guys is a bleedin genius.
He is certainly no one-hit wonder. We thought we’d seen the end of him after he killed off Ali G with that ridiculous movie (so absurd it was actually funny at times), but no, he came back with another installment of mockery and mental buggery. Best of all, he intentionally or unintentionally portrayed what mind frame middle america is in. The racism, prejudice and obscene narrow minded mental block these people are in. How could someone not see or sense something was fishy about this guy at any stage is beyond me. He might pull it off for a start and some people say that some of his victims were just too polite to do anything. Rubbish!!
There is polite and there is gullible, naive and stupid!!! Those pictures of him and his sister… come on!!!
Anyway, respect to Mr Cohen.
Mind you, i was inclined to read about his background the other day, and found out that he’s actually half Iranian, half welsh (mother Iranian Jew who became Israeli, and dad … just Welsh, perhaps sheep shagger, who knows. with a son like that, i wouldn’t surprised).
Cohen is no dump ass neither. He’s an Oxford graduate and is about to marry a very fit and petite Australian actress (from Neighbors).
I reckon Borat is gonna stick with us longer than Ali G did. And even when he’s gone, Sacha Cohen has another character which he plays, Bruno the gay Austrian fashion reporter. Quite funny. he took that character with him to the US and did some pranks on few Americans… the hilarity of it all. Blindin!
